About Ravenwood
Ravenwood Construction was established in 2014 by two experienced homebuilders with over 50 plus years of combined experience, who had the desire to build a better, more reliable product and provide responsive customer service in the construction industry through synergistic team work.
Tym Seay has construction in his blood. As a second generation builder he knows the ins and the outs of every aspect of the building process. Having been involved in the construction of over 1300 homes over the past forty years he has honed his craft in the luxury custom home market.
Nathan Kavanaugh was born and raised in Fort Worth. After graduating high school he attended Baylor University where he graduated with a BBA in Finance and Real Estate. Upon graduation he began working in the commercial real estate industry. In 2006 Nathan and his wife made the decision to move back to Fort Worth where he began working in the Residential real estate market. Shortly thereafter, Nathan made his entrance into the construction industry after noticing that most real estate clients couldn’t find a general contractor that was affordable and reliable. He decided that he was going to change this and he has been working in the construction industry ever since.
We developed Ravenwood Construction’s core ideals around one simple concept. We desire to build a superior product within a realistic budget for all customers. It’s easy to build a dream home with limitless funds. The challenge exists when you try to build the highest quality product that serves both form and function within a reasonable budget . Many contractors will simply mark-up the price of a project by tacking on a flat 25% to a project no matter the scope. We decided that there had to be a better way. We take each project and give it a scope with a time scale. We then build in a project management cost based on the amount of time we would need to devote to the project. This eliminates any question of what compensation we as the builder take. You will never have to worry that you are not getting what you are paying for. You will see where every dollar goes in every project with Ravenwood construction. We believe that if a contractor doesn’t want you to know what they are making on a project, it usually means they are making more than they should. Transparency is key in building and keeping the initial customer relationship that we foster from the beginning of each and every project.

Commercial Work- Ravenwood also conducts business in the commercial sector on a case by case basis. We have had past experience in office buildings and restaurants.
Design- Ravenwood Construction has access to some of the most creative and sought after Interior designers and architects in the north and central Texas regions. We can custom tailor any project based on each and every one of our clients’ needs and wants.
